The Snooker Players Championship (professional ranking snooker tournament) is an event for professionals. It took place at Aldersley Leisure Village, Wolverhampton (England) from 7-13 February 2022. We'll be discussing Zhao's form, Shaun Murphy’s chances of reaching final, and John Higgins' defense of his title.
Zhao's form
Zhao's performance at last January's BildBet German Masters was a significant improvement over Zhao. In the first round, he beat Jamie Clarke by 4-1 but fell to Chris Wakelin the second round. Zhao battled back from falling behind 61-0 to win the frame with an impressive break of 71. He then ran out with four straight top runs to win the match and secure his third victory of the season.
Zhao Xintong's performance at the Snooker Players Championship shows his potential to be a world champion. O'Sullivan, who is the sport's champion for so long, will be O'Sullivan's final. Zhao is the successor apparent to the current number one in the world.

John Higgins defends the title
John Higgins' defence of the snooker players championship title was a triumphant one. Mark Williams won the final, beating Higgins after reaching the semis in the UK Championship 2009. Higgins had to overcome a setback to win the final, but he hit four century breaks in the decider for the title. He won the title for the third time in succession, and it was the first time he had done so three times.
The Irishman's performance was a masterclass. After winning the opening frame on colours, Higgins won the next seven frames. He was now leading by 8-3 after just three frames. Higgins then fired an 84-break for the second time. Robertson had a chance to win the title after Higgins made a mistake on the baulk pad.
Ronnie O'Sullivan's form
Ronnie O'Sullivan, a major British snooker player, has returned to great form at the Snooker Players Championship. His two-day triumph in Sheffield has brought back his world number one ranking. It also confirmed his status of one of the best snooker players ever. He now shares seven world titles with Stephen Hendry and will be looking to win a supplementary title next year.
O'Sullivan won the first part of the match but Fu was able to break through the balls. O'Sullivan extended O'Sullivan's lead after Fu missed his shot. Fu failed to build momentum after a tension-filled opening frame. O'Sullivan reprimanded him in the last frame with a break for 105.

Chances of Shaun Murphy reaching the final
Shaun Murphy has been a regular contender for the snooker players championship since he first made it to the professional circuit. Murphy's success in the tournament was not always smooth as he suffered injuries in recent years. He underwent gastric Sleeve surgery and was recently divorced. He also had back and neck problems.
Murphy has a strong record in the World Championship. He reached four finals, and won his first title in 2005. However, he had a poor year last season and has had difficulty recovering. He reached the Sheffield final last year, which saved his ranking. However, he is struggling in the current season and has had poor results. However, he might be keen to reach the final because he has performed well at the Crucible.
