You will need eight balls to play bocce. Each ball can have a diameter between 74mm and110mm. These balls are either solid or filled with liquid. You can distinguish between different sets by their colors. You can also find bocce balls in many different designs. For example, the white ball is usually called a "rabbit" while the other balls are named "piglet" or "duck".
Bocce ball games aim to get the ball closer to the pallino. A bocceball that touches the pallino earns two points. You can also throw your opponent's balls away. This option will keep your game alive. The bocce ball should not be thrown beyond the designated line.
Your team must earn twelve points in order to win. The team closest to the pallino must possess eight balls. Each other team can have anywhere from one to four balls. The game ends when the other team has reached 12 points.
The next player will attempt to get the ball closer to the pallino then the previous player. If they succeed, it's their turn at the jack. If they fail, the other team will get another chance.
A dead ball means that the game will continue even if your team is ahead. The other side will then have to try and get around the pallino so that it reaches its goal line. Throwing the raffa is another way to accomplish this. You can add backspin and a bocce ball to this.
There are up to eight players per bocce team depending on how the rules are written. A smaller team can allow for a couple of players to assist with the game.
