
The World Trick Shot Championship is a world championship of trick shot billiards. The competition was first held in 1991 and took place on snooker tables. Matchroom Sport organised the event. Matchroom Sport organized it. In 2005, the competition took place at Celtic Manor.
Many professional billiards players from around the world began performing tricks shots in the 1970s. These players were awarded prizes including the World Championship of Artistic Pool (ICCP), the International Challenge Cup and the Swedish Championship. Trick shot is a pool game that has been sanctioned by The World Pool-Billiard Assocation. Aside from playing in tournaments, trick shot artists also teach others the sport.
Mike Massey was a famous trick shot artist in the world since the late 70s. Massey has shared many games with athletes like Jason Gedrick or Paul Sorvino. Massey has been an important figure in the sport both as an instructor, and as a fundraiser. Massey's performances at the Waste Management Pheonix Open, and at the Volvo PGA at Wentworth have earned him a lot of attention.

Mike Massey has been instructing professionals in the sport such as Scott Baiin and Dean Cain. He has won several professional international competitions, and has been a member of Team U.S.A., which won the trick shot world championship in 2002. The team also performed at the HSBC Championships Abu Dhabi and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Jim Sommer is another talented trick shot artist. He has competed in many international Trick shot turning events. He was the winner of the US Nationals Artistic Pool Championship.
The World Trick Shot Artists Association or WTSAA is an international association of trick-shot artists. Paul Gerni, a world champion in trick shot, organizes the association. There are 160 tricks in the WTSAA book. These tricks include the machine gun shot and the quick-fire shot. Other trick shots include "pro" shot (extremely cut shot), and "proper" shot.
Tim "The Dragon", the 2022 US Nationals Artistic Pool Champion in Artistic Pool, won the title by beating Jason "The Michigan Kid", Lynch in the finals. Both Chin and Lynch are WPA World Ranked. Lynch is still in school at Ohio State, but Chin is a more experienced professional.

The next Trick Shot Magic event will be held on October 9-10. Eight international stars will compete in this competition. The purse is worth $40,000. Each player will have six to ten choices. Each player will get three chances at completing the shot once they have chosen their favorites. All players who take a shot that is successful will be awarded a point.
For many years, the best trick shot artist in the world was Geoff McIlroy. Noel Hunt inspired him to learn trick shots. He has met people he never imagined and fallen from ladders. But he hasn't stopped trying.
