Dafabet Returns to Sponsor the World Pool Masters Title

Dafabet once again will be the title sponsorship of the World Pool Masters. Dafabet, an online sports betting site, is a partner to a number of prominent sports brands, such as Celtic FC (Norway City FC), Warwickshire County Cricket Team and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet also sponsors The British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Gibraltar will host the 2020 World Pool Masters. It will feature 24 of the best players in the world and a $100,000 prize pool. Tickets for the tournament will go on sale on Monday, December 9 to Matchroom Pool Club subscribers and on Tuesday, December 10, to the general public. David Alcaide last year was the champion and will be defending his title against a top-notch field of players.

Dafabet World Pool Masters

Dafabet has extended its title sponsorship deal for the World Pool Masters. The tournament will be held in Gibraltar from 22 to 25 May 2019. The title sponsor for the World Pool Masters 2017-2018 was Dafabet. In addition, Dafabet has other sporting sponsorship deals. In the past, the company has partnered with LaLiga football tournament and also with the Sussex cricket side Durham.

Dafabet World Pool Masters International is a nine-ball pool competition. It is one of the most loved events in its genre, with an increasing amount of money available each year for the winners. The prize pool for the event this season was $100,000. David Alcaide of Spain won the tournament. Alcaide beat Alexander Kazakis of Greece by twice the length in the final. Niels Feijen, who defeated Shane Van Boening in the previous year's event reached the final. David Alcaide was also defeated in round one.

Joshua Filler

Joshua Filler is a bonen-based German pool player. The 21-year old has won both the China Open and 10-ball European Pool Championships. He is the youngest person ever to win these two competitions. He is the youngest person to win the European Pool Championships.


Filler began playing the sport when he was seven years old and was already competing at national level. At age twenty, he made his Mosconi Cup debut and represented Europe at the event. After his Mosconi Cup appearance, he went on to win the China Open 9-ball tournament and the ten-ball European Pool Championship. He defeated Italian Carlo Biado in his final to win his second world championship. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.

Lo Ho-sum

Lo Hosum, the first Hong Kong player to make it to the World Pool Masters finals, expressed concerns over a recent budget cut. Despite his recent success, he is still relatively unknown in his homeland. Lo was a wild-card participant in the Gibraltar tournament and won a series of matches to reach final. In the quarterfinals, Lo defeated Shane Van Boening. But, in the final, he lost to Joshua Filler. They were tied at six before Lo's heroics ended the match.

The World Pool Masters nine-ball competition is held every other year to find the best pool players. The original event was held in Europe. However, it has expanded to include players of other parts. Lo has a very strong professional record and has maintained a good ranking throughout his career.

Sanchez Ruiz

Francisco Sanchez Ruiz defeated Max Lechner 13-10 to win the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. This victory places him at number one in the Live Nineball World Rankings. It also earns him $50,000 for the first prize. Sanchez Ruiz also became the first Spanish player to win the pool's oldest major. Sanchez Ruiz's win also saw him surpass Shane Van Boening at the $100,000 mark.

Sanchez Ruiz had to battle through a number of tough moments against Filler. However, he was able to overcome his initial nerves and roared to victory after making two consecutive racks. Sanchez Ruiz came out on top with a 2-rack buffer, after Filler had fought back.
