Dafabet will again be the title sponsor at the World Pool Masters. The online sports betting operator is a partner with a host of high-profile sports brands, including Celtic FC, Norwich City FC, Durham County Cricket Team, and Warwickshire County Cricket Team. Dafabet is also the title sponsor for the British Fast5 Netball All-Stars Championship. It was the title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The 2020 World Pool Masters will be held in Gibraltar, featuring 24 of the world's best players for a $100,000 prize fund. Matchroom Pool Club subscribers will be able to purchase tickets on Monday, Dec 9, while the general public can buy tickets on Tuesday, Dec 10, for the tournament. David Alcaide (last year's champion) will be seeking to defend his title versus a great field of stars.
Dafabet World pool Masters
Dafabet has extended the title sponsorship deal for World Pool Masters. The tournament will take places in Gibraltar 22-25 May 2019. The title sponsor of World Pool Masters 2017, 2018 and 2018, Dafabet was also present. Dafabet also has sponsorship deals in other sports. In the past, Dafabet has been a partner with LaLiga and the Sussex cricket team Durham.
Dafabet World Pool Masters consists of an international nine-ball pool contest. It is the most prestigious event of its kind and has raised the amount of prize money for each year's winner. The prize pool for the event this season was $100,000. The tournament was won by David Alcaide, a Spaniard. Alcaide defeated Alexander Kazakis, a Greek, by twice the length of the final ball. Niels Feijen, who defeated Shane Van Boening in the previous year's event reached the final. David Alcaide also lost to the Dutchman in round 1.
Joshua Filler
Joshua Filler, a Bonen-based German pool player, is making waves within the professional pool world. The 21-year-old has won the China Open and the 10-ball European Pool Championships. He is the youngest person to win either of these two competitions. He not only won the China Open but is also the youngest European Pool Championships winner.
Filler started playing the sport at age seven and was already competing at the national level. He represented Europe in the Mosconi Cup at age twenty-five. He won the China Open 9-ball tournament as well as the European Pool Championship ten-ball. He defeated Italian Carlo Biado in his final to win his second world championship. In addition to the World Pool Masters title, he won the Mosconi Cup and the World Cup of Pool. He also won the US Open Pool Championship.
Lo Ho-sum
The first Hong Kong pool player to reach the final at World Pool Masters, Lo Ho-sum, has expressed concerns about a recent budget cut. Despite his recent success in the sport, he remains relatively unknown outside of his homeland. Lo was an unofficial wild-card player to the Gibraltar tournament. He won a number of matches and reached the final. In the quarterfinals he beat Shane Van Boening. However, he lost the final to Joshua Filler. Before Lo's heroics, the pair was tied at six.
The World Pool Masters is an annual nine-ball competition that determines the best pool players in the world. The original event was held in Europe. However, it has expanded to include players of other parts. Lo has a great professional record, and has maintained a top ranking throughout his entire career.
Sanchez Ruiz
Francisco Sanchez Ruiz is the winner of the 2022 US Open Pool Championship. His victory over Max Lechner was 13-10. The win puts him at the top of the Live Nineball World Rankings and earns him $50,000 in the first prize. Sanchez Ruiz is also the first Spanish player ever to win one of the oldest majors in pool. Sanchez Ruiz also passed Shane Van Boening with this win, pushing him over the $100,000 mark.
Sanchez Ruiz had many difficult moments against Filler. After making two consecutive racks, Sanchez Ruiz was able overcome his nerves and won the match. Sanchez Ruiz won with a two-rack buffer after Filler came back to tie the score at three points.
